I have such fond memories of visiting David (as we called him) and his family in the 1960s with my parents who had a lifelong cherished family friendship. I remember how much I loved to see David’s pets, especially Charlie.
And I also recall that he was really proud of the passion flowers that he grew outside the back door. Our next door neighbour has a passion flower that has now spread across to our own back door and every time I see it, it makes me think of David. I have shared a photograph of this year’s crop which I think would have impressed him. Dear David will never be forgotten, and I will always be fondly reminded of him when I see the passion flower.
Sent with love from Julie, and also Graham and Jeanette.
